Job summary

Browne is seeking a Planner on a 12-month fixed-term contract to coordinate and schedule works, ensuring SLAs are met and permits are in place. The role supports field crews, clients and stakeholders, delivering safe, efficient utility and infrastructure projects.

Initial three months at the Apsley office, then a transition to Falmer. We require planning/scheduling experience, knowledge of street works and traffic management, and strong Microsoft 365 skills.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a planning, scheduling, or coordination role.
  • Experience using Street Manager, Aurora, or similar planning systems.
  • Good understanding of street works, traffic management requirements, and utility planning processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
  • A positive, solution-focused approach and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Previous utilities experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule works to meet contractual service level agreements and maximise workforce efficiency.
  • Allocate work, monitor progress, manage backlogs and ensure permits and notices are obtained and maintained.
  • Provide accurate information to field teams and respond to client requests.
  • Resolve planning issues and keep relevant systems updated to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service throughout project execution.
