Job summary

Browne Group is seeking a proactive Planner in Hemel Hempstead to coordinate project planning, permits, and client liaison, ensuring works are delivered on time and to a high standard.

You will manage deadlines, prioritise tasks, and work closely with teams to keep operations running smoothly from planning through to completion. A background in utilities or street works is preferred, with strong communication skills and MS 365 proficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous planning experience, preferably within utilities or street works.
• Knowledge of Street Manager and/or Aurora systems.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively.
• Comfort working with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word).
• Understanding of permits, street works requirements or traffic management.
• A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate teams from planning through to completion to drive on‑time delivery.
• Manage permits and liaise with clients to keep projects progressing smoothly.
• Monitor performance and ensure SLAs are met across projects.
• Support operations to maintain high‑quality service on site.
