Job summary

Project Partners in Falmer seeks an experienced Streetworks Planner to join an established team. You will ensure works are delivered to the contract's programme, producing efficient planning and accurate information flow to clients.

Hybrid role, Mon-Fri, 45 hours per week, 12-month FTC (Maternity Leave cover). Salary up to £35k depending on experience. Training at the Apsley head office; travel paid if required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Understanding of processes for obtaining Gas/Electric/Line Search/BT Drawings.
• Understanding of street works and traffic management requirements.
• Experience using Street Manager/Aurora systems and prior planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with teams, supervisors and operatives to provide accurate job details.
• Monitor backlogs to ensure contractual priorities are met.
• Plan and coordinate jobs to run as efficiently as possible.
• Create NRSWA permits and ensure notices meet regulatory requirements.
• Submit and track bus/parking suspensions and other switch-out requests.
• Monitor permit updates and respond to client queries with progress updates.
• Oversee progress of gangs on the contract and update systems.
• Resolve planning queries and provide holiday cover when needed.
• Share information with the wider team to support licences and permits delivery.

Streetworks Planner

Location: Falmer, East Sussex

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 5.30pm, 45hrs per week

Type: 12m FTC (Maternity Leave cover), hybrid

Salary: Up to and around £35k depending on candidate experience

Project Partners are now recruiting for an experienced Streetworks Planner / Coordinator to come and join an established and hard working team based in Falmer, Sussex.

The purpose of the role as a Planner is to ensure all works are delivered to the required contract's program, achieving contractual SLA's, ensuring efficient planning, utilising full workforce. Ensuring that the clients/customers' expectations are met by delivering a first-class service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Liaise with teams, supervisors and operatives providing accurate information, job details to enable work to be carried out.
• Monitor backlogs AA/IP to ensure contractual priorities are met.
• Ensure all jobs are planned and coordinated so they run as efficiently as possible.
• Create NRSWA permits to Local Authorities and ensure that the notices meet legislative requirements.
• Apply/submit and track requests for Bus/Parking suspensions
• Submit and track requests for switch out etc
• Monitor and respond to permit updates (PMR's/S74's/AIV's/Inspection).
• Deal with all requests from the client promptly, efficiently and courteously and keep the clients and customers updated with progress prior to and throughout and after the works.
• Monitor the progress of all gangs working on the designated contract and update the related company and client systems.
• Resolving any planning queries or issues.
• Holiday or additional cover for planning colleagues when necessary.
• Carry out any other duties appropriate for the role.
• Sharing information with the wider team to support work planning and obtaining and working in accordance with licences and permits as required to deliver the project.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proficient in the use of all Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Understanding of processes for obtaining Gas/Electric/Line Search/BT Drawings

• Street manager/Aurora system experience
• Previous planning experience

• Previous utilities experience is derisible but not essential

Please note initial training for the first 3 months will be based in the Apsley head office. Travel will be paid for the successful candidate if required
