Ringway Jacobs is recruiting an Assistant Permit Officer to support the Streetworks function within the Essex Highways partnership. You will assist the Senior Permit Officer to deliver objectives, process Streetworks permits and ensure compliance with legislation

You will manage your own workload, review applications against the 21+ point checklist, and help apply conditions, timescales, and inspections while contributing to continuous improvement and high service standards.

Qualifications

• GCSE grades A-C/9-4 in Maths & English.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Permit Officer to deliver Essex Highways objectives and standards.
• Process Streetworks permits within required timescales and ensure conditions are applied as needed.
• Own workload while supporting team capacity and assisting with wider workload.
• Ensure all applications are compliant with relevant legislation and guidance.
• Review applications using a 21+ point checklist and apply conditions, timescales and inspections.
• Learn and support continuous improvement of the Streetworks function.
