Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking an entry‑level Network Co-ordination role within the Streetworks team. The post focuses on coordinating, approving and inspecting all highway works to ensure compliance with national and local standards.

You will support planning of diversion routes, monitor street works by utility companies and other contractors, and participate in enforcing conditions, issuing penalties and auditing activities to uphold public safety and traffic flow.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role within the Streetworks industry; no mandatory prior experience.
• Desirable knowledge of NRSWA/TMA or statutory auditing is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, approve and inspect highway works to ensure compliance with national and local standards.
• Plan and review proposed diversion routes and monitor street works by public utilities, OCC, developers and contractors.
• Enforce conditions, raise penalties when needed and support governance of the network.
