Job summary

Dudley Council, Dudley North team, is seeking a Street Scene Operative – Level 2 to maintain grounds and deliver street cleansing services across the borough. The role offers a 43 hour week in summer and 30 hours in winter, with a 37 hour standardised baseline, and requires a driving licence.

You will perform hedge and vegetation maintenance, grass cutting, litter picking, bin emptying, and support the team to keep housing sites and verges tidy.

Qualifications

• Must hold a driving licence.
• Experience in grounds maintenance and street cleansing is desirable.
• Flexibility to work across locations as required.

Responsibilities

• A variety of street cleansing and grounds maintenance tasks, such as hedge and vegetation maintenance, grass cutting, weed removal, and litter picking.
• Maintain housing sites, verges, and provide direction and support to the team.
• Carry out additional duties as required, including bin emptying, sweeping, and fly-tipping removal.
