Job summary

Solos Consultants Ltd in Suffolk is seeking a Street Lighting Supervisor for a permanent, full-time position across projects in the region. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring resources, safety, and programmes are on track.

Join a team delivering major infrastructure works; you’ll lead street lighting and related works, manage labour, plant, and materials, and liaise with clients and authorities to keep delivery on schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience within street lighting or infrastructure.
• Experience working on NEC contracts.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• CSCS card holder.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and CDM requirements.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and keep works moving.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervising street lighting and associated infrastructure works.
• Leading and supporting site operatives and subcontractors.
• Organising labour, plant and materials.
• Planning upcoming works and keeping programmes on track.
• Ensuring work is carried out safely and to the required standard.
• Completing site paperwork, reports and briefings.
• Working closely with the Contract Manager and wider project team.
• Liaising with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders.
• Monitoring productivity, quality and progress.
• Ensuring all operatives and subcontractors are suitably competent and trained.
• Identifying and dealing with site issues before they affect delivery.
