Job summary

E.ON UK is seeking an experienced Column Erector to join the PFI team in the Oldham and Rochdale area. The role involves excavation for LV service jointing, erecting and removing columns, signs, bollards, and working on related cable networks.

You will also support E.ON Utility Solutions with driving, deliveries and yard duties. Key responsibilities include asset removal, street lighting and EV connections work, crane operation, and ensuring health and safety compliance on site.

Qualifications

• A current NRSWA qualification LA 01, 02 to 05 and 08.
• Up to date UK HGV Class II Driving Licence.
• NVQ level 2 Highways Electrical Work.
• CPCS Lorry Loader or equivalent.
• A high degree of manual dexterity.
• Flexibility to work unsociable hours when required by the business.

Responsibilities

• Remove or decommission assets as required.
• Install and decommission street lighting equipment and EV connections.
• Drive general company vehicles including HGV.
• Operate lorry mounted crane.
• Excavation work for joints, columns, signs and bollard installations.
• Safely operate tools and equipment and support operatives.
• Follow safety policies and risk assessments on site.
• Take ownership of personal health and safety responsibilities.
• Mentor young and vulnerable persons on site.
• Ensure PPE is worn at all times.
