Cleo is seeking an Operations Manager to join their People team. This role involves a data-driven approach to optimize recruitment processes and enhance talent density. You will lead critical projects and gain broad exposure within a fast-growing tech startup focused on transforming financial health access.
At Cleo, we're not just building another fintech app. We're embarking on a mission to fundamentally change humanity's relationship with money. Imagine a world where everyone, regardless of background or income, has access to a hyper-intelligent financial advisor in their pocket. That's the future we're creating.
Cleo is a rare success story: a profitable, fast-growing unicorn with over $200 million in ARR and growing over 2x year-over-year. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to join a team of brilliant, driven individuals who are passionate about making a real difference. We have an exceptionally high bar for talent, seeking individuals who are not only at the top of their field but also embody our culture of collaboration and positive impact.
If you’re driven by complex challenges that push your expertise, the chance to shape something truly transformative, and the potential to share in Cleo’s success as we scale, while growing alongside a company that’s scaling fast, this might be your perfect fit.
Being an Operations Manager in the People team means working on a range of high-impact cross-functional projects. You’ll be expected to step in and solve problems wherever they appear, with an ability to go from the strategic to the tactical very quickly.
You’ll be pushed to build understanding for multiple domain areas as you take on projects with tight deadlines. This means your priorities can shift day to day, from building robust performance frameworks to implementing new systems or processes for recruitment, you’ll have an opportunity to gain exposure across one of the most important areas of any business.
What You'll Be Doing:
You’ll take the lead in building and refining the key processes that drive talent density. From setting up seamless goal-setting frameworks to streamlining performance reviews, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our systems are not only efficient but also scalable as we grow. You'll continuously look for ways to optimize every step of the process, working closely with the leadership team to get things done.
Data will play a central role in everything you do. You’ll dig into performance data to uncover insights, spot trends, and identify areas for improvement. This data-driven approach will help you refine our performance management systems, ensuring they support employee development and company growth. You’ll also be responsible for developing and tracking performance-related KPIs, making sure that the right metrics are in place to measure progress and success across the business.
Beyond performance management, you’ll work closely with the Chief People Officer on a range of initiatives. This could involve contributing to larger org design projects, helping to implement new systems across the People function, or taking on key projects that support broader business objectives. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring that the people operations side of the business is efficient, scalable, and aligned with our long-term vision.
About You:
What do you get for all your hard work?
We strongly encourage applications from people of colour, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, parents, carers, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
If there’s anything we can do to accommodate your specific situation, please let us know.
UK App access: The Cleo app is no longer downloadable in the UK (but only until next year). If you’re an existing user, you’ll still have access to the app. But some features won’t be available (just for a little while). Why? 99% of our users are based in the US – where financial health is often overlooked. We’ve decided to shift our focus to where we can provide the most value and make the greatest impact for users who need it most. Then we’ll be able to apply what we learn to better support our UK users in the future.
