To drive the strategic planning process, conduct market analysis, and develop high-impact initiatives that support the company's long-term growth and competitive advantage. This role involves translating high‑level vision into actionable strategies and working across functions to ensure alignment and execution.
Strategic Planning Cycle Management: Lead the annual strategic planning cycle, including goal setting, prioritisation, and resource allocation.
Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend evaluation to identify new business opportunities and threats.
Strategic Initiative Development: Develop detailed business cases, financial models, and implementation plans for strategic initiatives.
Merger & Acquisition Activity: Evaluate and propose potential merger and acquisition targets focused on component parts of the operating model.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment: Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to define strategic priorities and measure performance against key metrics.
Customer and Colleague Focus: Ensure strategic development and planning delivers positive outcomes for customers and colleagues.
Executive Reporting & Communication: Prepare and deliver clear, compelling presentations and reports on strategic findings and recommendations to the executive team.
Project Monitoring & Risk Mitigation: Monitor the execution of strategic projects, identifying potential roadblocks and developing mitigation strategies.
Business Landscape Acumen: Maintain a current and comprehensive understanding of the business landscape and emerging technologies.
Data-Driven Culture Advocacy: Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organisation.
Staff Mentorship & Development: Mentor staff on strategic frameworks and analytical techniques.
Ad-Hoc Strategic Support: Perform ad-hoc analysis and support strategic initiatives as required by the Strategy & Transformation Director.
Specific Requirements: Candidates should only apply with a minimum of 5 years in a similar strategic leadership role, preferably with over 10 years due to the seniority of the position.
