We own and operate a network of highly-engaged youth communities on social media.
We have numerous pages including Great British Memes, That Girl Page, That Student Page and MORE, which across all social channels reach over 500 million every month. The vast majority of our social following also comes from within our home market - the UK.
At GBM, we take pride in what we do and make sure the client's needs are met while considering the needs and wants of our nurtured communities/audiences. All campaigns have a lot of care and attention to detail with nothing going live unless the GBM team are 100% happy with everything.

Job Description
The role:
We’re looking for a creatively driven Strategy Lead, who’s passionate about all things social media, content, culture, and knows how to turn that passion into real business change.
In this role, the successful candidate will help to shape the commercial direction of GBM Group, working across our growing network of social brands. They’ll translate creative ideas and briefs into data-informed strategies, and pitch to some of the world’s top brands and agencies. They will also help the founder and senior team evolve our positioning in a rapidly changing and exciting social media landscape.
Our ideal candidate will have a background in social media, pitching, brand partnership sales, winning new business and creative strategy. They will have at least 5+ years of mid-senior experience within a creative team, and proven brand/agency experience, working with household names.
They’ll also have a proven track record of winning and retaining significant new business, a strong network of senior agency and client contacts, and a passion for delivering standout work.
They’ll work closely with the founder and senior team, to drive revenue, build standout proposals, and build new business.
This is a hands-on, strategic role, where the successful candidate will balance creativity with commercial planning. As a small team, there are endless opportunities for growth, and there is the chance to take ownership of the strategy arm of the business and play a key role in the shaping of GBM’s future - possibly even building out a team.

We’re a small but nimble team, looking to expand further into the market, so we’re looking to secure new business quickly to add to our already existing partnerships.
Success will be measured by the amount of briefs and commercial opportunities you are able to bring in as well as revenue. The founder has strong industry relationships and a lot of previous connections that you might be able to leverage to support you in the sales process, but you will be predominantly expected to bring your own and integrate them into the business quickly. We are already in a great position where we work with wonderful clients but we’re looking to expand this much further as the company grows. The ideal candidate will be someone we can build with and grow with us as a business. KPI’s and targets will be discussed with the candidate who is successful, with a clear road map for the coming quarters.
