Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Senior Workforce Development Practitioner to help shape the future of the organisation amid significant change. You will identify workforce challenges, develop capabilities and ensure the workforce has resilience for current and future demands.

You will help establish and grow a newly formed Workforce and Organisation Development (WOD) function, influencing how development is delivered across one of the country’s largest councils and contributing to

Qualifications

Experience in workforce development, learning and development, or related disciplines.
Ability to use evidence, insight and workforce data to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

Identify workforce priorities and capability gaps with leaders and managers.
Lead commissioning, procurement and contract management of learning and apprenticeship provision.
Design, develop and improve workforce development interventions aligned to priorities.
Use data and organisational insight to inform decisions and resource targeting.
Promote continuous learning and professional development across teams.
Collaborate with Organisation Development, HR and Transformation to align with wider programmes.
