Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to own the warehouse, logistics and asset management operations across the business. You will drive stock accuracy, implement improvements, and integrate the warehouse function with Procurement, Planning, Engineering and Projects.

You will lead teams to ensure safe, compliant operations, enhance system adoption, and provide accurate reporting to support operational decisions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse and logistics operations within engineering, energy or renewables.
Strong inventory control and critical spares management.
Experience leading teams with emphasis on health, safety and compliance.
Experience using ERP and WMS to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
Ability to develop processes and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day warehouse operations including goods receipt, storage, picking, dispatch and returns.
Maintain accurate stock and asset records with regular cycle counts and audits.
Ensure equipment is tested, calibrated, and certified; maintain readiness and compliance.
Coordinate inbound/outbound movements and work with cross-functional teams for material availability.
Drive warehouse KPI reporting and identify opportunities for cost and process improvements.
Lead site teams and foster a safety‑driven, high‑performance culture.
