Full-time, Permanent

The Role:

The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will take ownership of JFR’s warehouse, logistics and asset management operations, ensuring materials, equipment and critical spares are safely managed and readily available to support business and project needs. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for driving warehouse performance, inventory accuracy and asset visibility while leading the consolidation of warehouse units, implementing process improvements, strengthening stock control and enhancing system adoption. Working closely with Procurement, Planning, Engineering and Project teams, you will integrate the warehouse function into the wider business, foster a proactive and collaborative team culture, and provide accurate reporting to support operational and commercial decision-making, including the effective management of client‑owned critical spares.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Lead day‑to‑day warehouse operations, including goods receipt, storage, picking, dispatch, returns and logistics coordination, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations.
  • Maintain accurate stock, equipment and asset records, leading cycle counts, audits and reconciliations while investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure effective control, testing, calibration and certification of equipment, maintaining compliance and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate inbound, outbound and inter‑site movements, working closely with Procurement, Planning and Operations to ensure timely material availability and equipment readiness.
  • Monitor logistics performance, resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement of distribution processes and network efficiency.
  • Manage client‑owned critical spares, maintaining stock visibility, availability and accurate reporting in collaboration with Oldmeldrum operations.
  • Drive ERP/WMS adoption and data accuracy, ensuring timely processing of warehouse transactions and consistent use of systems across the function.
  • Monitor warehouse and logistics spend, identify improvement opportunities and support the standardisation of processes across sites.
  • Provide inventory and logistics insight to support operational planning, highlighting stock risks, capacity constraints and asset readiness.
  • Lead and develop site‑based teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, high performance and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in warehouse and logistics operations, ideally within engineering, energy or renewables environments.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse best practice and critical spares management.
  • Experience leading teams, maintaining high operational standards and ensuring health, safety and compliance requirements are met.
  • Proven ability to develop and improve processes, optimise workflows and implement standard operating procedures.
  • Experience using ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to support operational efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Experience managing logistics providers, warehouse operations and associated budgets.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships across operational and support functions.
  • Analytical and data‑driven approach, with the ability to identify issues and implement practical improvements.
  • Forklift license or willingness to obtain.
Why join us?
  • Competitive salary and benefits package aligned with experience (Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Cycle to work scheme, Company Pension, etc.)
  • Clear pathways for career development and organisational visibility.
  • Inclusive and supportive culture that values individual contributions.
  • Meaningful work with impact across safety, innovation, and global operations.
