Job summary
James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead our Goole warehouse operations and asset management, ensuring materials and critical spares are available to support projects.
This hands-on role collaborates with Procurement, Planning and Engineering to drive performance, stock accuracy and ERP/WMS adoption across sites, fostering a proactive team culture and delivering accurate operational reporting for decision-making.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse and logistics operations, preferably in engineering or energy sectors.
- Strong inventory control and asset management knowledge.
- Experience leading teams, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Experience using ERP/WMS to support operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations from goods receipt to dispatch.
- Maintain accurate stock and asset records with cycle counts.
- Ensure equipment testing, calibration and certification are up to date.
- Coordinate inbound/outbound movements with key stakeholders.
- Drive ERP/WMS adoption and data accuracy.
- Monitor spend and opportunities for process standardisation.
- Lead site teams with a culture of safety and high performance.
