Job summary

PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED is seeking a Client Advisory VAT Manager in Reading for a dynamic, client-facing advisory role. You will shape VAT delivery across a wide client portfolio, advising on complex matters and identifying strategic opportunities.

You will lead engagements, develop sector expertise as desired, and collaborate with partners to meet clients' commercial goals while coaching junior staff.

Qualifications

• CTA or ATII qualification or equivalent, with accounting qualification preferred.
• Strong background in VAT advisory and indirect tax with client management experience.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality VAT advice on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Act as main contact for a portfolio of VAT advisory clients.
• Advise on VAT planning opportunities and complex queries.
• Lead client engagements from planning to implementation.
• Collaborate with partners to align VAT advice with business goals.
• Support business development through proposals and pitches.
• Coach and review junior staff on VAT work.
