Job summary

Keyline Civils Specialist is recruiting a Utilities and Specialist Infrastructure Category Manager to lead our commercial strategy across this high-value market. You will drive sales growth, manage margins, and negotiate favorable supplier terms while working closely with branches and marketing teams.

You’ll own the category budget, ensure product availability and coordinate with suppliers to deliver a best-in-class range that meets contractor needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in category management within building, distribution or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong analytical capability and supplier management experience.
• Ability to develop and execute category strategies informed by market analysis.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategy ownership: create and deliver a customer-focused category strategy driving growth.
• Develop a market-leading product range aligned with contractor and customer requirements.
• Deliver margin improvements via supplier term negotiations and sourcing initiatives.
• Own the category budget for sales and profitability and monitor performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with branch, sales, pricing and marketing teams.
• Manage stock availability and optimise range and space plans.
