Job summary

Polypipe Doncaster is seeking an experienced Category Manager – Belowground & Utilities to own the category strategy from roadmap to end-of-life, driving revenue, profitability and market differentiation across all channels. You will work with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain to deliver sustainable growth.

The role requires commercial acumen, strong stakeholder management and a strategic yet hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and delivering category or product strategies.
• Strong commercial acumen including pricing, margin and revenue growth.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management and new product development.
• Ability to turn market insight into commercial action.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience working across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and Technical teams.
• Desirable: experience within belowground drainage, utilities, construction products or infrastructure markets.
• Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver category strategy by developing long-term roadmaps and go-to-market plans.
• Drive growth by analysing customer needs, market trends and competitor activity.
• Own revenue, margin and pricing strategies, monitor performance and profitability.
• Lead innovation and new product development and ensure successful launches.
• Build value propositions and collaborate with Marketing to strengthen market position.
• Act as the category expert ensuring products meet regulatory requirements.
