Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania is seeking a strategic University Bursar within the Student Registration and Financial Services (SRFS). This role oversees billing and collections for over $1.4 billion in student accounts receivable, including tuition, housing, and fees, and leads enhancements to student financial operations and services.

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, the Bursar partners with senior leadership to drive financial strategy, ensure compliant processes, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in higher education finance, student accounts, or tuition management.
• Expertise in Ellucian Banner AR, particularly with tuition and fee assessment modules, is essential.
• Strong technical proficiency to configure and manage student financial systems.
• Ability to collaborate with university stakeholders and provide data-driven policy recommendations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
