Job summary

The Bursar plays a fundamental role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the operational, administrative and compliance side of Ursuline Preparatory School. This is a rewarding hands-on role, requiring flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to contribute to the management team.

Reporting to the Head and Trustees, the role covers finance and accounting, forecasting, statutory accounts, HR and payroll, data and employment compliance, major supplier negotiations, policy reviews,

Qualifications

• Proven record in financial management and control, with ability to present complex financial information.
• Knowledge of employment law, HR and recruitment processes.
• Strong confidentiality and data protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Finance and accounting, including fee invoicing and VAT reporting
• Financial forecasting
• Preparation of statutory accounts
• HR and payroll
• Data and employment compliance
• Major supplier contract negotiations
• Annual policy and contract reviews
• Stay updated with industry changes
• Other operational duties as required by the Head
