Job summary

Carey Olsen is seeking a Trust Officer / Administrator to join our Trust Services Provider team. You will play a key role in delivering the highest standard client trust services with support from senior management.

You will assist with day-to-day administration, statutory and regulatory compliance, transactions and governance processes, while identifying process improvements to enhance client experience and risk controls. Experience in trust administration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Has at least 3 years' client-facing trust and/or corporate services experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Diploma in International Trust Management (STEP) or studying towards it.
• Chartered status or studying towards CGI/ICSA would be advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; minute taking experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Experience using Viewpoint entity administration software or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Administration of a portfolio of trust structures per internal policies and Bermuda's requirements.
• Assist the Trust Managing Director to analyse trust deeds for legal, tax, admin and investment issues.
• Maintain beneficiary information to prudently carry out trustee duties.
• Ensure trust transactions are recorded and statutory registers are correct.
• Organise meetings, agendas, minutes and trustee resolutions; follow up on actions.
• Attend routine filings with Registrar of Companies, Bermuda Monetary Authority and other authorities.
• Liaise with tax, accounting, legal advisors, investment managers and banks.
• Respond to email queries and engage proactively in the business.
• Review Client Due Diligence information to ensure AML/ATF compliance.
• Maintain awareness of operational risk and AML/compliance risks.
