Job summary

Carey Olsen is seeking a Trust Officer / Administrator to join our Trust Services Provider team in the UK. You will play a key role in proactively delivering high-standard client trust services with senior management support.

You will assist with day-to-day administration, regulatory compliance, and governance processes for a diverse portfolio of trust structures, identifying process improvements to enhance client experience and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Diploma in International Trust Management (STEP) or in progress is preferred.
• Chartered status or progress towards graduate status with Corporate Governance Institute is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Administer a portfolio of trust structures following internal policies and Bermuda requirements.
• Assist the Trust Managing Director with analysis of trust deeds for legal, tax, admin and investment issues.
• Maintain beneficiaries' information to support fiduciary duties.
• Ensure accurate recording of trust transactions and statutory registers.
• Organise meetings, draft agendas, minutes and trustee resolutions; track action items.
• Liaise with regulators and government bodies as required (Registrar of Companies, Bermuda Monetary Authority).
• Coordinate with tax, accounting, legal advisors, investment managers and banks.
• Respond to email queries and engage with the business proactively.
• Request/update Client Due Diligence information to ensure AML/ATF and sanctions compliance.
• Maintain awareness of operational risk and AML/compliance risks and report to management.
