The role involves strengthening relationships with major retailers and guiding the site through audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will be pivotal in maintaining QMS, HACCP, and compliance while driving performance and career development within the team.

Qualifications

• Strong track record as Technical Manager in food manufacturing.
• Experience supplying major UK retailers and managing customer relationships.
• Strategic thinker balancing daily technical excellence with long-term goals.
• Confident communicator influencing at all levels.
• Proven experience leading BRC and retailer audits.
• Collaborative leadership able to engage and inspire teams.
• Practical, down-to-earth approach with passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing Technical team.
• Setting and delivering the site’s technical strategy and improvement roadmap.
• Building strong, credible relationships with major retail customers and acting as a trusted technical partner.
• Representing the business with confidence during customer meetings, audits and visits.
• Leading the BRC and retailer audits.
• Driving continuous improvement across food safety, quality, compliance and operational standards.
• Ensuring robust QMR and HACCP systems, processes and procedures are maintained and evolved to support business growth.
