Job summary

Mencap is seeking a Vendor & Contract Manager within the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) team in the UK. The role focuses on strategic supplier governance, contract negotiation, and value delivery across core technology services, ensuring performance and value for money.

You will lead procurement activity across the supplier lifecycle, collaborate with Legal, Finance and IT security, and support cost optimisation while working with multiple stakeholders and vendors.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in IT contract management, technology procurement and vendor management.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, security, licensing or professional services.
• Experience managing the full contract lifecycle from sourcing to exit.
• Strong commercial understanding of SLAs, KPIs, liabilities and termination provisions.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance on governance and cost optimisation.
• Ability to address poor performance using contract and relationship-management mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology procurement and contract activity across the supplier lifecycle.
• Manage contracts and supplier governance for Tier 1 technology vendors.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Information Security and Enterprise Governance.
• Identify opportunities to optimise costs and reduce supplier risk.
