Job summary

MCS Group | Your Specialist Recruitment Consultancy is excited to shortlist a Category Manager - Technology Procurement for a 12 month FTC. The role focuses on owning technology procurement categories, developing category strategies, and leading supplier negotiations within a global organisation.

You will build strong relationships across Technology and the wider business, drive value and supplier performance, and ensure governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Technology/IT procurement or Category Management.
• Experience managing complex supplier relationships and commercial contracts.
• Track record of delivering negotiations and cost savings.
• Excellent stakeholder management with senior leaders.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability.
• Experience developing and implementing category strategies.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies.
• Leading supplier selection, tendering and commercial negotiations.
• Managing contract negotiations, renewals and supplier performance.
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiencies and improved value.
• Building relationships with internal stakeholders across Technology and the wider business.
• Ensuring procurement activity aligns with governance, risk and compliance requirements.
• Supporting transformation initiatives across procurement.
