Job summary

IPS in St Helens is recruiting a Supply Chain & Production Planner on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will join a friendly team to join up and deliver the weekly production plan, ensuring packaging and raw materials are available in good time to meet production and customer demand.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm. The role requires experience in MRP, planning, logistics and production supply, plus excellent communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a fast-paced customer driven environment.
• Experience running MRP, planning, logistics and production supply.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Good attitude towards team work and continuous improvement.
• Excellent attitude towards providing customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Own daily/weekly/monthly production plans.
• Maximise production runs and minimise changeovers.
• Identify capacity bottlenecks and plan mitigation.
• Create Labour and Capacity plans.
• Manage stock levels within agreed limits.
• Review daily production plan and inform production and supply.
• Support use of Vision where applicable.
• Monitor and order stock of ingredients and packaging via MRP.
• Expedite or delay orders as required.
• Coordinate departments for new projects / SKUs launches.
• Communicate with customers about issues and expectations.
• Maintain records for procurement and purchasing.
• Perform stock reconciliations and reporting.
• Escalate supplier non-conformance.
