Job summary

Connected Search Group is seeking a Planning & Supply Chain Lead for a site in Barnoldswick, Lancashire. This is a broad, hands-on role at the centre of planning, supply chain and operations, reporting to the Site Manager, collaborating with shift managers, production and customers to keep the site running smoothly.

You will produce production plans across multiple product lines, manage stock levels, organise the warehouse, lead cycle counts, and coordinate procurement of raw materials.

Qualifications

  • 2 years' experience in planning/supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • CIPS qualification desirable
  • Strong IT skills and confidence across planning and stock systems
  • Hands-on, organised approach with a drive to deliver for customers and colleagues
  • Collaborative across departments and adaptable to change

Responsibilities

  • Produce effective production plans across multiple product lines and manage stock levels against customer requirements
  • Organise and manage the warehouse and roll pack process
  • Lead cycle counts and stock takes, maintaining accurate stores and parts control
  • Procure raw materials and approve system orders for stores and spare parts
  • Liaise with customers/export accounts to confirm orders and provide shipping docs
  • Support shift managers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Act as sustainability lead and coordinate UPS and waste collection scheduling

Job description

Planning & Supply Chain Lead
Barnoldswick, Lancashire Permanent, Full-Time

This is a broad, hands-on role sitting at the centre of the business, part planning, part supply chain, part operations, for someone who enjoys variety and wants to make a visible difference to how a site runs. You'll report directly to the Site Manager and work closely with shift managers, production and customers to keep the site running efficiently and on time.

The role sits with one of our key clients, a well-renowned international manufacturing business with an excellent reputation in the market.

What you'll be doing:
  • Producing effective production plans across multiple product lines and managing stock levels against realistic customer requirements
  • Organising and managing the warehouse and roll pack process
  • Leading cycle counts and stock takes, and maintaining accurate, cost-effective control of spare parts and stores
  • Managing procurement of raw materials and approving system orders for stores and spare parts
  • Liaising directly with customers, including export accounts, to provide timely order confirmations and produce all shipping documentation
  • Supporting shift managers and contributing to 6S, continuous improvement and wider production projects
  • Acting as the site's sustainability lead, as well as coordinating UPS and waste collection scheduling
