Job summary

Kier Group plc seeks an experienced procurement and supply chain leader to drive end‑to‑end strategic initiatives in building products and civil engineering. You will balance cost, service and risk, lead category strategies, and build strategic supplier partnerships across national networks.

The role focuses on transforming processes, digital procurement improvements, and sustainability programmes while leading a high‑performing team within the Commercial team.

Qualifications

• CIPS qualified or equivalent with significant procurement experience in building products or construction/civil engineering.
• Track record of best‑in‑class supply chain delivery with strong negotiation and national supplier management experience.
• Skilled communicator with experience managing directors and operational stakeholders.
• Experience in portfolio and contract management, vendor performance reporting, and category management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across end‑to‑end supply chain and procurement to balance cost, service and risk.
• Lead category management and sourcing strategies aligned with priorities and sustainability goals.
• Establish and maintain strategic supplier partnerships through relationship management, negotiation, and contract governance.
• Lead supply chain transformation initiatives including process optimisation, digital procurement improvements, and sustainability programmes.
• Develop and inspire a high‑performing team with accountability and collaboration.
