Job summary

TXM Recruit is recruiting a Supply Chain & Planning Manager for an established aerospace and defence manufacturer in South Wales. You will own an end-to-end supply chain and planning function, leading purchasing, material availability, production planning, supplier performance and inventory control.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will blend practical leadership with strategic improvement to ensure the right materials and plans meet customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and material planning.
• Experience improving supplier performance in time-critical environments.
• Analytical, data-driven with clear prioritisation.
• Commercial awareness and hands-on delivery improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Supply Chain and Planning team.
• Own demand, supply, inventory and production planning.
• Manage supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost and lead times.
• Identify shortages and risks; coordinate recovery plans.
• Improve inventory accuracy and optimise working capital.
• Support strategic sourcing and “make-versus-buy” decisions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Project Management.
• Use ERP/MRP data to improve planning and reduce overdue orders.
