Job summary

Escape Recruitment is partnering with a global technology business with a Glasgow site to recruit a Supply Chain Lead. You will own materials planning, purchasing and inventory, coordinating between the UK and South Africa and other European sites to ensure production schedules are met.

You will work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality in a high-tech manufacturing environment, using ERP data and Excel reporting to drive improvements and maintain full traceability across components.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, materials planning or production planning within electronics or complex engineering manufacturing.
• Strong ERP/MRP knowledge and good Excel skills.
• Experience managing suppliers, purchase orders, inventory and lead times.
• An understanding of component traceability and quality requirements.
• Some experience with international shipping, import/export documentation or customs.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the confidence to take ownership in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Developing production and materials plans across weekly, monthly and quarterly schedules.
• Managing MRP, purchase orders, supplier lead times and material availability.
• Controlling inventory, goods-in, stock accuracy and component traceability.
• Coordinating intercompany transfers between the UK, South Africa and European sites.
• Managing inbound and outbound shipments, including international shipping documentation and customs.
• Maintaining accurate ERP data and using Excel to support planning and reporting.
• Working with technical teams and suppliers to resolve shortages, quality issues and delivery problems.
• Identifying opportunities to improve supplier performance and supply chain processes.
• Maintaining robust quality records, documentation and full component traceability to meet the demands of high-precision, high-value manufacturing

With a newly established UK site in Glasgow, they have created a new role for a Supply Chain Lead to take ownership of materials planning, purchasing and inventory as the operation continues to grow.
