ReQuire Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of a Derby-based product-led business for an experienced Supply Chain Manager. You will shape an upstream supply chain, manage supplier performance, negotiate terms, and drive cost improvements.

The role focuses on commercial supplier management, relationships, and resilience, working with Operations, Production and Finance. On-site Derby site with flexible start/finish times; scope for strategic supplier development.

Qualifications

• Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Supplier Management in manufacturing or product-based environments.
• Able to renegotiate supplier agreements and achieve meaningful cost savings.
• Capable of improving underperforming supplier bases and reducing lead times.
• Commercially confident, skilled at negotiating and challenging suppliers while building relationships.
• Experience helping a business scale and professionalise supply chain.
• CIPS Level 4 or above is advantageous but not essential if experience is strong.

Responsabilités

• Build strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Lead supplier reviews and drive improvements in delivery, quality and service.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, MOQs, rebates and wider commercial agreements.
• Identify and develop new suppliers and secondary sources.
• Reduce supply risk and improve resilience across the supplier base.
• Review sourcing and stock strategies to balance availability, lead times and working capital.
• Use purchasing and supplier data to identify cost and performance improvements.
• Help implement systems, controls and reporting to support growth.
