Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Supply Chain Lead to join the Energy Team on the SSE ASTI Framework. You will shape supply chain structure, drive supplier performance, and embed ISO 44001 to foster collaborative partnerships across projects in multiple countries.

You will engage local SMEs, lead roadshows, and ensure social value and carbon reduction are embedded in supplier strategies. This role requires a strong background in supply chain management for major construction or infrastructure

Qualifications

• Strong background in supply chain management within major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in supplier relationship management and collaborative working (ISO 44001 desirable).
• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, supply chain partners and clients.
• Strong IT literacy with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Construction, engineering or infrastructure background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shape supply chain structuring, capability planning and market engagement.
• Oversee supplier performance and relationship management to drive continuous improvement, efficiency and value.
• Manage and embed ISO 44001, promoting collaborative behaviours and long-term relationships with key partners.
• Lead local and SME engagement, including Supply Chain Roadshows and Meet the Buyer events.
• Embed social value, carbon reduction and community commitments into supply chain strategies.
• Monitor supply chain capacity, financial resilience and risk, provide insights to senior leadership.
• Enable innovation and modern methods to improve cost efficiency and sustainability.
• Ensure contractual compliance and governance across the supply chain.
• Act as an interface between suppliers, project teams, internal departments and the client.
• Produce reports and data to enable decision-making and KPI delivery.
