Job summary

AWE is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for an 18-month on-site contract at Burghfield to lead commercial and SCM activities across multiple Tech Centres. You will align demand, drive value for money, advise on Make/Team/Buy, and act as a trusted interface to Programme Directors, ensuring priority delivery and policy compliance.

The role requires DV clearance, UK national status, and over 5 years in regulated supply chains with strong analytics, ERP experience, and supplier management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active DV clearance is essential.
• Experience in supply chain or procurement within high regulated industries.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with ERP system experience.
• Ability to manage suppliers, negotiate, and deliver compliant commercial solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead alignment between SCM and Tech Centres to shape demand plans and drive value for money.
• Act as a trusted advisor on commercial matters and oversee Make/Team/Buy decisions.
• Develop cross-functional capabilities to strengthen SCM relationships with the Tech Centre.
• Interface with Programme Directors to translate demand signals into strategic SCM actions.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies and solutions for the Tech Centre.
• Manage investment planning decisions and supplier engagements with senior stakeholders.
• Establish risk controls and ensure policy compliance within the commercial function.
