Job summary

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is seeking a Senior Spatial Planning Officer to drive the development of the Spatial Development Strategy and its evidence base, in collaboration with local authorities and stakeholders.

You will write policy, lead community engagement, and guide SDS through examination and adoption, delivering growth, inclusion and climate resilience across the City Region.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of planning policy and its processes, ideally at a strategic level.
• Experience developing planning policy and evidence bases for SDS or Local Plans.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare key evidence and undertake analysis, consultation and policy development for the SDS.
• Develop a robust evidence base across technical areas to support policy proposals.
• Lead community engagement and stakeholder collaboration to progress SDS adoption and examination.
• Work with colleagues across the CA and external partners to align SDS with wider policy areas.
