Job summary

bartlett mitchell invites an experienced Sous Chef to join our multi award-winning contract catering team. You will produce the highest standard of food within set time frames and financial targets, stepping into the Head Chef’s shoes when required and driving new initiatives to improve standards.

You will research innovative ideas, contribute to menu planning, and foster a culture of teamwork and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Experience in producing high-standard food within required time and financial targets.
• Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
• C&G 706 1 & 2 or NVQ or equivalent.
• Food Safety and Health and Safety certificates at level 2.
• 2 years’ experience supervising others.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering high standard food production to meet time and financial targets.
• Develop menus and contribute to food trends.
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence.
• Promote team spirit, company culture and continuous learning.
• Support training and development through workshops and forums.
