Job summary

Buckden Partners in Reading is seeking a Sourcing and Vendor Management Specialist to own the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, from market assessment and RFx through contracting and performance oversight.

You will partner with stakeholders across the business, negotiate favourable terms, manage vendor risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role is full-time, on site in Reading with competitive salary.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in procurement/sourcing with bid/tender delivery and contract negotiations.
• Formal qualification (CIPS level 4) or equivalent experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Excel-based tools, vendor risk management, and procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing, conduct market research, and run RFx processes to select vendors.
• Negotiate terms, pricing and SLAs; draft and manage contracts to minimise risk.
• Manage vendor performance with regular reviews and resolve issues as needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing with business goals and policy.
• Ensure due diligence and ongoing oversight in line with vendor ratings.
