Job summary

BDO UK is seeking a Procurement Business Partner Manager to drive strategic sourcing across multiple business streams, aligning category plans with ESG targets and delivering savings targets. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, lead vendor negotiations, and manage a small team within a tightly regulated professional services environment.

The role focuses on strategic sourcing, procurement governance, and ensuring value delivery from key suppliers while maintaining strong relationships

Qualifications

• Significant experience in category management across multiple categories.
• Strong understanding of IT & technology procurement and SaaS vendors.
• Excellent knowledge of procurement processes and SLAs.
• Solid contract management and negotiation capabilities.
• Good grasp of vendor lifecycle and internal interaction during engagements.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to communicate procurement vision.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and planning.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to drive improvements and lead initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic sourcing lead for HR, marketing, finance and other business streams.
• Support Head of Procurement in achieving 2028 vision and savings targets.
• Create and manage living category plans with stakeholders.
• Develop an effective engagement strategy with key stakeholders.
• Collaborate on vendor negotiations and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain master vendor data and support rollout of POs to suppliers.
• Line manage junior procurement delivery staff.
• Align category plans with ESG targets and business priorities.
• Build relationships and act as trusted procurement partner.
• Drive vendor management program with periodic evaluations and action plans.
• Escalate supplier issues to resolution and guide improvement efforts.
