Qualifications

• Significant public-sector procurement experience.
• Strong understanding of procurement regulations and PA23 or similar.
• Proven ability to lead and develop procurement teams.
• Experience overseeing end-to-end tender and sourcing activity from inception to completion.
• Ability to work autonomously with high resilience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee sourcing strategies for complex, high-value procurement projects.
• Manage end-to-end tender and sourcing activities, ensuring timelines.
• Provide strategic procurement advice to teams and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure strategies align with wider category plans and objectives.
• Review procurement docs and artefacts for quality and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve sourcing processes and governance.
• Provide assurance that procurement activity complies with legislation and PA23.
• Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Support recruitment and contribute to interviews where required.
• Promote continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
