Job summary

Prestious Arm of Government in the UK seeks a Strategic Sourcing Manager for high-value procurements within a regulated environment. Base locations are Milton Keynes and London with a day rate of £600 inside IR35/Umbrella.

The role delivers end-to-end sourcing strategies, leads senior stakeholder engagement, and drives cost savings while ensuring governance and compliance across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience is required.
• MCIPS or equivalent accreditation desirable.
• Significant government procurement experience, ideally in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing delivery for high-value procurements (complex, regulatory context).
• Develop end-to-end sourcing strategies aligned to category plans.
• Lead negotiations to secure commercial benefits and savings.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to shape pipelines and strategic alignment.
• Drive aggregation to maximise value and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations and governance.
• Provide expert sourcing advice and drive innovation.
• Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to optimise TCO.
• Build relationships to transition from sourcing to supplier management.
• Lead and develop a team of sourcing professionals.

Education

Degree educated or equivalent experience

MCIPS qualified or equivalent professional accreditation
