Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Procurement Specialist in Aberdeen to manage end‑to‑end procurement for key commodities. You will own supplier performance and lead negotiations to secure best value while coordinating with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Project teams.

The role requires a strong background in procurement within manufacturing/high‑compliance environments, proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven procurement/sourcing experience in manufacturing, engineering, or high‑compliance environments.
• Experience in supplier management including negotiation, purchase order execution, expediting, and risk mitigation.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar) and data‑driven decision support.
• Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement for assigned commodities and suppliers.
• Own supplier performance, address delivery, quality, capacity and risk.
• Lead commercial negotiations to secure best value.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Projects.
• Drive PO execution, supplier follow‑up, and expediting to meet commitments.
• Analyse procurement and supplier data to identify trends and improve outcomes.
