Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Sourcing Specialist in Indirect Procurement to manage regional sourcing for materials and services. You will lead RFQs, negotiations, and supplier performance, driving cost reductions and strategic supplier relationships across global teams.

You will collaborate with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Commercial functions to align with business goals and deliver value through procurement excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Procurement, SCM, Finance, Business Admin, or related field.
• Significant experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Operations, or Commercial functions.
• Strong negotiation, supplier relationship, contract management, and stakeholder influencing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication, including senior leadership engagement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and multi-priority handling abilities.
• Ability to work effectively across functions and global teams.
• Experience driving sourcing strategies, cost optimization, process improvements, and supplier performance programs.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Oracle/Ariba/SAP preferred; APICS/CIPS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement for indirect materials and services, driving cost reduction and cash flow objectives.
• Manage RFQ, supplier selection, contract negotiation, PO issuance, and supplier performance per policies.
• Develop and execute supplier/category strategies aligned with global sourcing objectives to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, negotiate commercial agreements, drive performance improvements.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Commercial teams to support objectives and sourcing decisions.
• Deliver sustainable cost savings and process improvements through strategic sourcing and productivity programs.
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and procurement data to identify opportunities.
