Job summary

Intact Insurance UK is seeking a Category Lead in the Sourcing Centre of Excellence to drive sourcing across multiple categories. You will manage end-to-end activities, ensure governance, and maintain documentation while engaging internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and timelines.

In this permanent role, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement, accelerate cycle times, and apply ESG sourcing standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a procurement or commercial role in a complex or regulated environment.
• Practical experience running RFQs, mini-tenders or supplier evaluations.
• Ability to operate across multiple categories and adapt quickly.
• Strong attention to detail with governance and documentation focus.
• Good commercial awareness and structured supplier evaluation.
• Confident communicator with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Sound judgement to escalate issues and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sourcing execution across multiple categories within frameworks.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing activity from engagement to award.
• Ensure activity aligns with policies, templates and governance.
• Maintain cadence, quality of delivery and service timelines.
• Prepare clear documentation and audit trails for supplier activity.
• Collaborate with colleagues and escalate higher-risk initiatives.
• Engage stakeholders to clarify requirements and timelines.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and cycle times.
• Use sourcing tools effectively and ensure data accuracy.
• Apply ESG and responsible sourcing requirements as defined.
