Job summary

Vanguard Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Solutions Consultant to partner with business stakeholders, advising how technology and process innovation can help achieve strategic goals. You will build strong relationships with internal clients, teams, and IT partners to ensure clarity of recommendations and priorities.

The role requires strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Broad knowledge of the financial services industry and FinTech industry.
• Strong written, oral communication, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Exceptional conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong planning, organisational, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Proven experience using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques to inform recommendations and investment decisions.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to adapt quickly, learn new business domains, evaluate issues, identify and validate problem areas, and negotiate scope changes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to advise how technology and process innovation can help meet business goals.
• Build productive relationships with internal clients, teams, senior management, project teams, and IT partners to ensure recommendations and priorities are understood.
• Champion optimal solutions using influencing and negotiation skills and act as change agent for IT and business.
• Translate business problems into strategic, cost-effective solution alternatives with recommendations and cost benefits.
• Develop deep knowledge of supported business areas and assist in driving a 3-to-5-year technology plan.
• Work with Solution Architects, Product Owners and Engineering to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and governance.
