Job summary

KBR is seeking a Solutions Architect (Business Development) to drive early client conversations, shape solution strategy, and deliver winning, secure, and profitable architectures across Defence, Government and Nuclear programmes. You will lead technical content creation, engage stakeholders and mentor delivery teams while navigating a fast-growing, high-impact environment.

The role combines strategic, technical and commercial leadership, with hybrid work in the UK and frequent client site

Qualifications

• Experience in Defence, Government or Nuclear sectors.
• Leading technical solutions for bids, pursuits and tenders.
• Developing high-quality technical content including BOEs, architectures and white papers.
• Partnering with BD, capture and programme teams to shape winning propositions.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers, building trusted relationships and identifying opportunity pathways.
• Develop innovative, future-proof, low-risk and profitable solutions meeting security, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Capture teams to develop winning themes and clear differentiators.
• Produce convincing proposal content—architectures, white papers, estimates—articulating why the solution is winning.
• Mentor and inspire teams, strengthening KBR’s technical capability and delivery confidence.
• Engage stakeholders at all levels, customers, partners, SMEs and executives, with clarity and credibility.
