East Renfrewshire Council seeks an ambitious Strategic Services Assistant to help inform decisions with robust evidence and community insight. You will undertake research, analyse data, monitor national developments and create engaging reports and visualisations to support the council’s priorities.

As part of our Strategic Services team, you will work with colleagues from across the Council and wider public and voluntary sectors. You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that supports tackling child poverty, strengthening equality and inclusion, driving continuous improvement and enabling the strategic ambition of our A Place to Grow' vision. You will gain valuable experience working across services and with a wide range of partners, helping to shape policies and initiatives that improve outcomes for local people.
The Strategic Services Assistant will help ensure that operational and strategic decisions are informed by robust evidence, data and community insight. You will undertake research, analyse and present data, monitor national developments and create engaging reports and visualisations. You will also have opportunities to lead projects, coordinate activity across teams and build strong professional relationships with colleagues and partners.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and curious, with strong analytical, communication and writing skills. You will be confident using Microsoft 365 applications and have a keen interest in using digital tools and data to support decision-making. Experience of Power BI would be advantageous but is not essential. [The term Policy Foresight' must be included in any personal statement about why you want the job]
