Job summary

Dudley Council is seeking a Service Manager for Harm Outside the Home, Edge of Care and Emotional Wellbeing, based at Cable Plaza, Brierley Hill. The role leads across Children’s Services to deliver safe, high-quality services for children, young people and families.

The postholder will oversee safeguarding, performance and partnership working, with accountability for service delivery, budgets and workforce, in line with statutory duties and council priorities.

Responsibilities

• Leadership across Harm Outside the Home, Edge of Care and Emotional Wellbeing Services
• Line management of Team Managers and Service Leads
• Set clear expectations for service delivery, professional practice and outcomes
• Workforce planning, recruitment, retention, development and deployment
• Safeguarding oversight and risk management across the service portfolio
• Develop effective partnerships with Children’s Social Care, Health, Police, Education and other agencies
• Drive service improvement, integration and best practice across the portfolio
