Job summary

St Paul’s Waldorf School seeks an experienced SENDCO / SENCO & Inclusion Lead to shape and lead its SEND provision. You will report to the Headteacher and develop inclusive practice, ensuring pupils with additional needs receive appropriate support to fulfil their potential.

The role encompasses leading SEND and inclusion, coordinating support, and guiding staff with adaptive teaching. Strong organisational, communication, and data-informed decision making are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status and/or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Experience in SENCO roles or equivalent with strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice.
• Experience of planning and evaluating effective support strategies; strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEND and inclusion across the school and maintain the SEND register.
• Develop and deliver the SEND policy and provision across the school.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and external professionals to support pupils with additional needs.
• Lead staff training and contribute to school improvement planning.
