Job summary

Bowlee Park Primary invites an experienced SENCO to join on a permanent, full‑time basis to lead on SEN policy development and provision across the school. You will work with staff to ensure accurate assessment, planning and review of SEN support for individual pupils and coordinate education health care plans.

Qualifications

• Experience leading SEN policy development and provision across a school.
• Willingness to complete National Award for SEN Coordinators or NPQ for SENCOs within three years.
• Ability to assess pupils with SEN, plan provision and review progress.

Responsibilities

• Determine the strategic development and implementation of the SEN policy in school.
• Coordinate day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and provision for pupils with SEN.
• Support staff to understand, resource and deliver SEND provision.
• Prepare annual review schedules for EHCPs and lead annual review meetings.
• Liaise with Local Authority SEND team and external agencies.
