Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to supporting parents/carers of pupils with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Determine the strategic development and implementation of the SEN policy and provision in school.
• Coordinate day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and provision for pupils with SEN or a disability.
• Ensure school fulfils statutory responsibilities for all students with SEN or a disability.
• Prepare annual review schedules for EHCPs and lead annual review meetings.
• Support induction and training of teachers and teaching assistants to deliver SEND provision.
• Liaise with the Local Authority SEND team and external agencies and implement recommendations.
• Provide support to parents/carers of pupils with SEND and arrange meetings.
• Be an excellent and inspirational teacher with high expectations of learning and behaviour.
• Demonstrate understanding of high-quality teaching and learning for all pupils.
