Job summary

Bowlee Park Community Primary School in Rochdale is seeking an experienced SENCO to drive SEND policy and provision across the school, supporting pupils with moderate and complex needs. You will work with a dedicated team to create an inclusive learning environment and tailor support to individual learners.

The role requires strategic leadership of SEND, knowledge of statutory responsibilities, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience leading SEN policy development and provision.
• Strong ability to assess and plan for pupils with SEN or a disability.
• Willingness to complete NPQ/SENCO qualification within three years.

Responsibilities

• Determine strategic development and implementation of the SEN policy and provision in school.
• Be responsible for the day to day operation of the SEN policy and coordination of specific provision to support individual students with SEN or a disability.
• Ensure that the school carries out its statutory responsibilities regarding all students with SEN or a disability.
• Prepare annual review schedules for pupils with EHCPs and lead annual review meetings.
• Support induction and training of teachers and Teaching Assistants to deliver high quality provision for pupils with SEND.
